THE INTERNATIONAL TENNIS CLUB – IC AUSTRALIA – SUPPORTING PLAYERS ON AND BEYOND THE TOUR 

The IC GRANTS program continues the Clubs supportive and holistic approach to player wellbeing, embracing both current and former players in a strong tennis community.

IC On the Tour Player Grants

Amount: 2 x $3,000 for ATP/WTA Players 

Eligibility: 

  • Open, no ranking restrictions
  • Must be an Australian citizen 
  • Must be current tour pro (ATP/WTA ranked player) 
  • Must be a Member of the IC Australia – join for free at beyondthetour.com.au 
  • Must adhere to values of respect, sportsmanship and goodwill 

Mission 

To provide financial support by means of a grant to current WTA/ATP players to support their commitment to furthering their tennis career on the pro tour or to assist their personal or professional development whilst still on the pro tour.

IC Beyond the Tour Gilmour Grants  

Amount: 2 x $3,000 for recently retired players 

Eligibility: 

    • Open to all recently retired (last 5 years) WTA/ATP ranked tour players
    • Must be an Australian citizen 
  • Open to all Members who need assistance transitioning to life beyond the tour
  • Must be a Member of the IC Australia – join for free at beyondthetour.com.au 
  • Must adhere to values of respect, sportsmanship and goodwill 

Mission

To provide support by means of a financial grant to recently retired WTA/ATP players to assist their transition beyond the tour.

HOW TO APPLY:

PLAYER GRANTS:

Submit an outline of how you intend to use the grant to further your tennis career, other skills or wellbeing. Highlight why your application should be considered. Emphasis should be placed on the goals and aspirations for the immediate 12 month period and any significant hardship that has affected your progress (eg injury, illness). 

Include a one-page CV that includes full contact details, career highlights, awards received.

IC BTT GILMOUR GRANTS: 

Submit an outline of how you intend to use the Grant for your professional/personal development or wellbeing post tour. Please include full contact details, any documentation pertaining to enrolled career courses, life experiences and goals for future endeavours. 

Support is available to prepare applications or if you need advice about how to best invest in yourself. Just send a short email requesting assistance to internationalclubaustralia@gmail.com and one of our member mentors will contact you.

  2. Closing date for applications is 15 November 2023
  3. All selected grant recipients will be notified by 10 December 2023 
  4. Grant recipients will be presented at an IC event tbc Dec 2023/Jan 2024

Responsibilities of Recipients in 2024 

  • Participate in an IC fundraising event and attend one other IC event
  • Participate in at least 2 Beyond the Tour social media events/media coverage 
  • Attendance at the Grant presentation and/or AO IC cocktail party 
  • Represent the stated standards of the International Tennis Club of Australia
